Traveling on picturesque State Hwy. 55, McCall is located just 2 hours north of Boise, Idaho.  You will climb out of the Boise valley and gently wind your way into the beauty of the mountains, most of the distance alongside the stunning North Fork of the Payette River, a designated Wild and Scenic River.  Over 2000 feet gain in elevation later you arrive in a spectacular four-season resort community:  McCall, Idaho.

Rimmed with high mountains studded with crystal clear lakes and streams, McCall is rich in natural beauty.  Here visitors can enjoy a vast array of experiences in this exceptional four-season resort town including world-class golfing, skiing, river rafting, wildlife viewing, fishing and hunting.  After a full day of enthusiastic entertainment, relax and enjoy a first class restaurant or down home cooking, a soothing spa or a natural hot springs, located just out of town.

McCall is a friendly town with an upscale, outdoorsy attitude.  Visitors can explore the town's quaint shops, outdoor farmers' market and the exquisite waterfront of Payette Lake, of which almost half is available for use by the public.  Water ski or soak up some sun on one of the gracious sandy beaches.  If running, cycling or swimming is your thing, come join the Mountain Triathlon or the Payette Lake Run held every summer.  Brundage Mountain Ski Resort and the new Tamarack Ski Resort, just south of town, offer top-to-bottom trails for the enthusiastic mountain bike cyclist.  Take time to golf in the summer and autumn at one of the many splendid courses available or try your hand at fly fishing in some of the best fishing terrain in the country!  Ponderosa State Park is located on a large peninsula on the east side of the lake with many nice campsites, boat launch, walking and biking trails and in the winter a spectacular groomed cross-country ski trail system.  For other outdoor enthusiasts, there are easy daytrips or multi-day backcountry adventures,  either on foot or by pack train.

Spring snows melt away to reveal the greening grasses and colorful mountain flowers.  The streams are flowing and the multitudes of migratory birds and mountain wildlife emerge to delight the alert spectator.  Temperatures are warm, with sunny days and cool, refreshing evenings.  Temperatures average between 70 and 90 degrees in July and August.

Autumn produces colors of bright red, orange and yellow.  Temperatures are cooler but still very pleasant.  Most of the crowds have moved on so it's a great time for relaxing by the first fireside of the oncoming winter season, taking a stroll in the quiet forest or on the hushed shore of the lake.

Winters in McCall are typically mild with temperatures averaging about 25 degrees from December through March, at times diving below zero to keep us on our toes!  Each of the two ski resorts offer incredible downhill skiing.  Well groomed cross-country trails can be found at several locations with one being adjacent to our own Activity Barn Tubing Hill.  We are pleased to have the new indoor Manchester Ice Center that hosts the local Mountaineers hockey team as well as our outstanding school hockey teams.  If ice-skating is something that you're yearning for, come lace up a pair of skates and take a twirl on the ice!  Lessons are available from some dynamic instructors!  During our annual Winter Carnival Festival, generally the last week of January and first week of February, you will witness an ice skating extravaganza among other entertaining Winter Carnival events!  Winter also brings the elk closer into town.  Enjoy a sleigh ride out to the feeding grounds just outside the town of Donnelly with Eld and watch the beautiful animals up close!
